Nardos Trading was established in 1960s in Borena Coffee Growing place Hageremaryam, as a coffee producer which later reorganized as coffee supplier (Akrabi) to the coffee auction center.NARDOS was reorganized and started coffee export business a year ago.

The company's sideline business
NARDOS TRADING (NT) engaged in import of agricultural chemicals, foodstuff and building materials. It has wholesale and retail outlets for lubricant oils and beverages.

NARDOS TRADING has sufficient office facilities, coffee warehouses and processing plants in Addis Ababa and HAGEREMARIAM towns.

- The company's head quarter is in Addis Ababa and its branch offices are in Hageremariam (Borena) town.

- The company has applied for 5000m2 of land in Addis Ababa for the construction of its future warehouse and installation of modern coffee cleaning plant. at the moment it uses rental warehouse and processing machinery to store and prepare its coffee for export.

- NARDOS has four storages with a capacity of 8000qts each in Hageremariam. It has also processing machine that hull dry cherries into green beans for transporting the coffee to the auction center.

- NARDOS TRADING has three wet processing plants (washing stations) to prepare Borena (Sidamo) washed coffee. The washing stations are located in Hageremariam (Mokonisa) area. Here pulping, washing, dring, grading and storage activities are carried on. The company produces about 520 tons of washed coffee yearly.

- The company has engaged also in farming and has 200 hectare of coffee land in KILESO (HAGEREMARIAM) and SHAKISO area.

- NT has local coffee pruchasing stations in Hageremariam, Kerecha and Gerba towns which directly buy coffee from farmers. The coffee is mainly bought in the form of dry chrries and processed into green beans by its own hulling mahinery. The coffee os thern transported to Addis Ababa Coffee Auction Center.

NARDOS TRADING EXPORTS SUPERIOR QUALITY WASHED AND UNWASHED HGHLAND ARABICA COFFEE FROM ITS BIRTH PLACE ETHIOPIA.

The company exports coffee to all desinations (Europe, Fareaset, Middele East and USA etc)

Currently the company exports differen types of coffee sun-dried and washed. Nardos exports sun-dried coffee like Djimmah grade 5, Sidamo grade 4 and Lekempti grade 5. It also exports washed coffee like Yirgacheffee grade 2, Sidamo Grade 2, Limu grade 2, and Teppy grade2. The company has special preparation (quality) known as Borena grade 4 and 5.
