Funding and sustainability
The Voice of Addis Chamber (VAC) has been financed by Center for International Partnership Enterprise (CIPE), and American-based institution, starting from its launching in 2002 and ending in December 2008. Now, the Radio Program requires funding from donors/sponsors for its continuation up until it becomes self-financing from the revenues it will generate from commercial advertisements.
A maximum of 6 minutes are allotted per 30 minute program time for commercial advertisements. The fees to be collected from commercial advertisements would eventually constitute a regular income base which can be used to cover the cost of the program in the long-term and, thus, ensuring the program’s sustainability.
